BTC/USD profit and loss calculator
1 lot = 1 BTC. A $1 move is worth $1 per lot. A $1,000 move per BTC on BTC/USD is $1,000.00 on one lot and $100.00 on 0.10 lot. Enter your entry, exit and size, choose long or short, and the tool gives the gross result — before commission and swap, which it says out loud.

Reference prices in the text are round teaching numbers; the calculator prefills our last stored reading, indicative only. Contract sizes follow the standard conventions printed above the calculator; your account’s own specification is what applies. Nothing here is a recommendation.
The sum for BTC/USD
Profit = (exit − entry) × contract size × lots for a long; reversed for a short. On 0.10 lot of BTC/USD: a $1,000 rise from 100,000 to 101,000 is $100.00 long and −$100.00 short.
Use the prices you were actually filled at: the buy at the ask, the sale at the bid. The spread is then already inside the result, and subtracting it again is the commonest way to think a trade cost more than it did.
What the number leaves out
Commission, if your account charges one, and the overnight swap for each night held — both are separate lines on the statement. On a BTC/USD position held over a Wednesday rollover, three nights of swap are charged at once. The contract specifications page lists the current swap for BTCUSD.
Common questions
- How much is a $1,000 move on BTC/USD worth?
- $1,000.00 per lot, $100.00 on 0.10 lot — before costs.
- Does the calculator include the spread?
- If you enter your real fill prices, the spread is already in them. Do not subtract it a second time.
