How to Fund an MT5 Account with Crypto, Step by Step

Funding an MT5 account with crypto is two transfers, not one: a blockchain transfer into your portal wallet, then a click to move the balance to your trading account. The first is irreversible and the second is instant. Everything in this guide is about getting the first one right. At Ultimo the process is described on the deposits page; this is the same thing as a checklist.

1. Make sure the account can receive money

Your account has to be verified (identity and address documents accepted) before funds can be moved to MT5 — a deposit to an unverified account sits in the wallet until it is. Most verifications complete the same day. Also: the deposit must come from a wallet you control. Third-party payments are an anti-money-laundering problem and have to be returned.

The minimum deposit is USD 100. That is a rule about the deposit, not advice about what to trade with; a position's margin is a separate calculation.

2. Get the address from the portal, and only from the portal

Sign in to the client portal from the website you typed in yourself. Open Deposit → Crypto. The address is shown there with the network beside it. That is the only place a deposit address comes from. Not an email, not a chat message, not a search ad, not a "we changed our wallet" notice. Anyone who sends you an address is not us.

3. Match three things: coin, network, address

Check Against
Coin Exactly the coin named in the portal (USDT is not USDC)
Network Exactly the network named beside the address (TRC-20 is not ERC-20)
Address The full string, after pasting — first and last characters

Send a coin on the wrong network and it may arrive nowhere anyone can reach. Coinbase's sending guide is a good description of the same rule from the sending side: match the network, and understand that on-chain sends cannot be cancelled. If your wallet or exchange does not offer the network shown in the portal, stop and ask support — do not pick a "compatible-looking" one.

4. Know which fees are whose

Ultimo adds no fee to a deposit. The network charges a transaction fee, and the exchange or wallet you send from may charge its own — both come off before the money arrives. If you send 200 USDT and the sending side deducts 4 USDT, 196 arrive. Check the "amount to be received" line before confirming, and make sure it still clears the USD 100 minimum.

5. Wait for confirmation, then move it to MT5

Copy the transaction hash from your wallet. "Sent" on your side means the transaction has been broadcast; the wallet is credited once the network has confirmed it, which takes minutes on most networks and longer when they are busy. When the balance shows in the portal wallet, transfer it to the MT5 account from the portal — that step is immediate.

Do not open a position on the assumption a deposit is about to land. Until it is in the MT5 account it is not margin.

6. Keep the receipt

Coin, network, hash, amount, time, and the address you sent to. If anything needs chasing, that is the whole conversation. Never send anyone — including us — a seed phrase, a private key or a login code; support does not need them and will not ask.

For a deposit that has not arrived, crypto deposits: networks, timing and common errors is the diagnostic version of this guide. Do not send a second payment because the first has not shown up.

Frequently asked questions

Do I send crypto to my MT5 login number? No. To the portal deposit address; then the portal moves it to MT5.

Which coins and networks are accepted? The ones shown in your portal at the time. They are not listed here because the list can change, and an out-of-date list is how coins get lost.

No broker fee means free? No. The network and your sending service charge. Ours is the only fee that is zero.

How long until I can trade? Network confirmation plus a click. Minutes when the network is quiet; no fixed promise, because the network is not ours.

Educational content, not investment advice. On-chain transfers are irreversible; a deposit does not guarantee trading access, execution or returns.
