Crypto Deposit Not Showing? Networks, Timing and the Errors That Cause It

Close-up of a computer screen showing a blockchain transaction explorer with a pending status

A crypto deposit that has not shown up is stuck at one of four stages, and each has a different fix. Find the stage first. The one thing not to do is send it again — a duplicate deposit is a real second payment, and if the first one was going to arrive, it still will.

The four stages

What you see Stage What to check
Your wallet shows the send but no transaction hash Not broadcast Your wallet or exchange: did it actually go out?
A hash exists; explorer says pending Unconfirmed The network's explorer for confirmations; nothing to do but wait
Explorer says confirmed; portal wallet unchanged Not credited Coin, network and address against the portal instruction
Portal wallet credited; MT5 balance unchanged Not transferred The portal: move wallet balance to the MT5 account

The last row is the most common "missing deposit" and is not missing at all. At Ultimo a deposit lands in the portal wallet and is transferred to MT5 from there; it does not go straight into the trading account.

Why "pending" has no fixed time

Confirmation is the network's job, not the broker's. Each network needs a number of blocks before a transaction is final, and how fast blocks come depends on load and, on some networks, on the fee attached to the transaction. Coinbase's pending-transaction page lists the same causes from a sender's perspective: not enough confirmations yet, network congestion, a low fee. Ten minutes on a quiet network can be an hour on a busy one. If the explorer shows the transaction and it is accumulating confirmations, it will arrive.

A pending deposit is not margin. If you have an open position that needs it, it is not there yet.

Wrong network is not "slow"

Congestion delays a correctly addressed transaction. A wrong-network send is a different problem: the coin was delivered to an address on a chain where nothing is listening for it. Waiting does not fix that. Compare the portal instruction with what your wallet actually did — coin, network, full address, any memo or tag — and if they differ, contact support with the hash. Whether anything can be recovered depends on the networks involved and is decided case by case; nobody can promise it, and anyone who does promise it in a direct message is not us.

The amount that arrived is not the amount you typed

Sending services deduct their fee from the amount, or on top of it — the confirmation screen says which. Enter 250, a 2-unit fee comes off, 248 arrive. Compare units first, then the dollar value: two screens showing "USD 250" at different times may be valuing the coin at different prices.

Units
Entered 250
Sending fee deducted 2
Delivered on-chain 248

What to send support

The transaction hash, coin, network, amount, time, and the address you sent to — plus which stage you think it is stuck at. That is enough to find it. Do not include a private key, seed phrase or login code; they are never needed and never asked for.

Keep the receipt. Do not pay anyone an "unlock fee", approve an unexpected wallet request, or follow a link in an unsolicited message about your deposit — those are the three ways a stuck deposit turns into a stolen wallet.

Next time

Read the portal instruction fresh for each deposit, match coin and network exactly, send from a wallet you control, and save the hash before you close the window. The step-by-step funding guide is that checklist.

Frequently asked questions

Does a transaction hash prove my MT5 account is funded? No. It proves a network transaction exists. Credit and transfer are two more steps.

Should I resend a deposit that has not appeared? No. Find the stage first. A resend is a second deposit.

Will waiting fix a wrong-network transfer? No. Contact support with the hash; recovery is case by case and not guaranteed.

Can I use an exchange's help page to know Ultimo's deposit time? No. It describes that exchange. The portal and support describe ours.

Educational content, not investment advice. On-chain transfers can be delayed or lost; recovery is not guaranteed.
