MetaTrader 5, one task at a time.
10 guides, each covering one thing you may need to do on the platform. Every guide gives numbered steps for the desktop terminal, the web terminal and the mobile app, explains what you will see afterwards, and lists the error messages the task can produce with their causes. Where a setting depends on the broker’s configuration, the guide says so and shows where in MetaTrader 5 to check it.

Two things worth knowing before any of them
A trailing stop in MetaTrader runs in your terminal, not on the server, so it stops updating when the terminal is closed; a Stop Loss or Take Profit already placed on the server does not. And a stop order becomes a market order once its level is reached, so it can fill at a worse price than the level you entered. Both are covered in detail in the guides above and in the order types guide.
